Scratches (not objectionable) on the outside case indicate it is a used computer. The motherboard inside was like new, only evidence of use was dust on some of the muffin fan blades. I have not yet turned it on (awaiting a DVD drive to add to the system before powering up). Seems to be a good value. I have always had good luck with Dell products. Looking forward to making this my main machine replacing my old (14 years old) Dell desktop

It had a single loose screw in the case but that affected nothing. Everything advertised in the listing functions the way it should, no compromises, fake parts, or workarounds. No components are dead or only semi-functioning. I don't think I could get a better deal than this, especially at this price. Thank you!
