    Hurst bushing and spring clip replacement packet review

    These spring clip retainers are fragile. They are designed to be installed once. If they are removed, and re-installed, they are prone to break. The bushings are not made of hardened steel. They are made of sintered steel. These bushings are somewhat better than the plastic ones, but I have limited expectations regarding their durability. I have no reason to believe that they are going to hold up for very long. I will probably end up making my own bushings, to replace the ones that are going to break. I plan to buy other spring clips from another source

    Worth the time and effort to install new bushings and spring clips

    If you have a Hurst 4 speed shifter and have some slopp in your shifter or it jams up or pops out of gear, you probably need to replace these bushings and re-align your shift rods while doing so.

    RATING HURST SHIFTER BUSHING KIT 3327302

    I HAD A HURST SHIFTER BACK IN THE 80's AND IT HAD THE STEEL BUSHINGS AND CIRCLE SPRING CLIPS. THEY WORKED VERY WELL THEN. I JUST RECIEVED A HURST SHIFTER INSTALLATION KIT THAT HAD NYLON BUSHING AND CHEAP PINS. THE KIT 3327302 IS FAR SUPERIOR. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
