Figure transporting the new light assembly with as rough and deliveries can be more then likely damaged bulb.
Bulb was no good when it showed up. Figured happened during riding in delivery trucks. I ended up buying a complete new light assembly thinking it was my light assembly problem. Once we had the new assembly installed and working with its bulb, we tested this bulb in the new light assembly. The bulb was no good. Had the installer dispose of the bulb correctly for us since it contains mercury.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Doesn't fit standard light bulb socket!
Two things to note about this bulb: 1. It's an e-39 "mogul" socket, not the standard e26 socket, so it won't fit 99.9% of sockets. 2. It DOES NOT come with a ballast, which is required to operate it. Prior to this purchase, I had no idea what a mogul base was. Buyer beware ;) I was just looking for a bright light for my garage :(Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
