I own this keyboard and like it so much I bought this second one as a spare just in case this one ever dies on me. Word of caution, if you use the keyboard very often like 4-6 hours a day every day for heavy typing this is not the keyboard for you. For a while my girlfriend, my daughter and I were all using the computer way too much. The battery started to run down as the desk light was not enough to keep it charged. I had to put in a sunny window at night so it could get some sunshine every morning or it would run down. Now it gets only moderate usage (occasionally heavy) so the desk light is plenty. I haven't put it in the window to charge in a couple of years now.

I have bought about 5 keyboards in the last couple of months. I needed to replace my ailing K810. I vowed never again to use a BT keyboard. I hated not being able to access the BIOS or Windows setup without hooking up another keyboard until Windows drivers were loaded. I was nevr able to find one I was completely happy with. Then my son recommended the K750. I immediately liked the thin profile and the prospect of no batteries to replace was a definite plus. The low profile keys, in concept, were awesome. Execution was not so great. The feel plastic and cheap. The overall size of the keyboard is way too large for my taste. If you did away with the number pad and the rows of keys with the directional keys, it's size would be fine. But, the keys still feel terrible. I am using the K830 right now, and although I love the keyboard itself, I wish it didn't have a touch pad, or a more full featured touchpad like the TK820, which doesn't have illuminated keys. Just so you know what I like in a keyboard, so you can judge my review accordingly, I would like a WIRELESS (not BT) K810. That would be a perfect keyboard. The K750 has way too many flaws in execution and is too expensive a keyboard to settle for. Unless you really just want a solar powered keyboard, go for the K360. Equivalent key mechanisms, more manageable size, finish options and MUCH less expensive.Read full review

Four Star Rating: **** The good: The affordable Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 boasts two solar panels that power the keyboard while you type, and other Eco-conscious features include PVC-free construction and fully recyclable packaging. The bad: The keyboard lacks an integrated palm rest, which may limit its appeal for heavy typists, the leg support seems cheap, but has held up well so far. Sorry Mac users there's currently no software support for Mac OS. The bottom line: Logitech's K750 wireless solar keyboard gets My First Choice Award for being an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional input devices with convenient extras and an affordable price. If there was support for Mac I would have given 5 stars Hope it helps
Somehow Logitech is one of those companies whose products are so good yet they don't believe in looting the end user. Very reliable and have been using them for years. This keyboard is all solar and doesn't need recharging at all. Love the smiley app which gives the status. Great company, reliable products, fairly priced.

this keyboard is the shiz. it does everything i wanted/needed to do Pros: -solar power (no batteries to change) -layout is perfect and the placement of the FN key is much more desirable. -logitech unifying receiver makes having multiple logitech wireless devices easy as pie (even on linux) -works out of box , plug and play (even with linux) Cons: -my description described a new unopened keyboard but this keyboard seemed to gone through some sort of refurb or something along the lines. it has a slight indentation where the battery is placed and the panel containing the battery appears to have been opened atleast once before ( pry marks in the plastic) i work with production of plastic so this was very easy and one of the first things i spotted. -my second issue would be that as soon as i open the box the z key was raised and not seated correctly. nothing that a slight push couldnt fix but i am noticing that the z key sticks every now and then. -questionable keys, as in the color of my fn options are blue, but in most of the pictures i see of this keyboard the keys are yellow? not that this is an issue, but it creates some questions.Read full review
I have been using this now for 2 months and I really like the feel of the mouse and keyboard. My favorite feature is that the keyboard has solar panels that recharge an internal battery so there are no replacements to worry about - the mouse still uses AA. The keyboard is thin and that may take getting used to for some. The mouse is on the larger side and fits well in my hand but is much larger than a midsized travel mouse. I would have given it a 5 but the function key is on the right side making my reach to control sound and launch the calculator function two handed where my old keyboard could do this without function keys. I bought two and my wife likes the freedom of movement it gives her work laptop when she brings it home to work on.
Recently, I was asked to write a review for this product and I must say that this was a good purchase! This was a "refurbished" keyboard, however, that didn't detract from the charm of having a solar powered keyboard. This is a standard Windows Keyboard with the Logitech Unifying USB dongle, so, getting the one I already had to pair up was quite painless. The button used to determine if the keyboard id getting enough light tells you at a glance: Green for plenty of light, red for "more light needed". The Solar App that you can download from Logitech is more precise, though, and comes in handy as that tells the end user how much light is being taken in as well as the overall battery power. This keyboard is quite thin as well. That certainly makes life easier in the long run as when it lays flat, it's not even 1/2" thick. However, it does have the flip tabs at the top for those who prefer the 8 degree up angle instead of totally flat. This board replaced another Logitech keyboard I've had for a while and while the other keyboard is battery powered, it's a more compact unit (I kept it as a backup keyboard, just in case) than this unit. Keystrokes are somewhat loud, being able to be picked up by my webcam mic, but, that's a non-issue with me. The Logitech keys here are somewhat concave, and that helps as does the ridged "F" and "J" keys (and the 5 key on the keypad.) All in all, I am happy with this purchase. (Edit 11/4/2013) Removed two stars due to the keyboard dying quickly. It's no longer taking a charge from the solar panels and is completely non responsive. Wasted my money on this device. Only reason it's still a three star instead of 1 is that the keyboard's attributes while it worked are still valid.Read full review
These are always good keyboards. They are a little heavy. Long lasting, well made and good key input feel. Not really solar powered since the keyboard relies upon an internal rechargeable button battery (2032). The battery cycles during the solar charging and may eventually fail after 100's of recharges. The battery is a little tricky to replace, but once a new rechargeable battery is installed your good to go for several more years. Doesn't require much light since the keyboard uses the battery and the battery can power the keyboard a long time maybe weeks.

I bought this keyboard because I wanted a wireless keyboard. I did not even know this solar powered one existed until it popped up in a search. The price was reasonable and the reviews were all great. I have been using it for a few weeks now. It is very quiet compared to a standard keyboard. The keys look and sound almost exactly like Macbook Pro "chiclet" keys. I am currently typing in the dark with the only light source being the monitor. The Logitech Solar Windows app that pops up when you push the power charge button shows the battery at 100% and the "Lux", or lumens per square meter, at 23 which is not ideal (it actually shows a sad face), but it seems to be enough to keep the charge at 100% while typing. 100-200 lux is in the smiley face part of the meter, and the meter maxes out at 500 lux which is probably direct sunlight. The case itself is very nice and thin, but made out of a glossy black plastic on the top and a matte grey plastic on the bottom. The stock picture shows that it has a sliver or white border/bottom, but the one I got is dark grey or 'charcoal'. The glossy finish looks nice but will immediately start collecting dust, prints, dog hair, basically it is like a dirt magnet and quite hard to get back to its original shine. It does come with a small black soft cleaning cloth. I attempted to clean the glossy side with this cloth and it scratched the surface when only applying a small amount of force; about as much force as what you would wipe a CD or DVD surface with. So I do not recommend using that cloth. Just use compressed air or try blowing the dust and hair off. There is really nothing that can be done about the prints in between the keys, I just live with it. The good news is that the scratches are only visible at certain angles. This is probably the only negative. It would have been fine by me if they used the same matte grey on the top, or a matte black. Maybe the white version of this keyboard hides the prints and dust better, but the black matches my monitor, mouse and PC case, so I'll deal with it. So far, I have not had any quality problems with its functionality, it is a well made product and well worth the price. If you type a lot and are afraid of the charge not being able to hold up, don't worry. It can go 3 months in total darkness between charges. The solar panels will pay themselves off after a few years. A similar Logitech keyboard that uses batteries is only $10 less. I'm actually surprised that this is the only solar powered keyboard on the market at the moment. It isn't like it is a new tech, I had solar powered calculators in grade school and still have one in my desk from that time. You tend to keep the ones that work forever with no maintenance, and this keyboard is exactly like one of those calculators. When I got my first solar calculator and lost it, I never bought a standard battery one again. Now all they need is a solar power charged, induction fed mouse and we will never have to change batteries in our PC's peripherals again, not to mention the eco-friendliness.Read full review
Love this keyboard!! Had a white one for several years and has never , EVER run out of power after the initial charging. Savings in batteries is well worth the cost. I use a lot of Logitech products (mice, remote) and the design and function flow perfectly together. The only drawback with this keyboard is that there is no illumination/light signal to the "caps lock" key, so it's hard to tell if you're in caps lock until you start typing and visually see caps. Otherwise an almost perfect keyboard.
