Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was introduced in 2002 and still holds up decently to today's standards. In my experience so far it is nearly as nice as Call of Duty part 1. The game has some nice features and good graphics. You have a good variety of weapons and the interface is realistic. The missions are creative and imaginative and keep your attention. Although I like this game...there are a few shortfalls which keep it apart from COD I. You can only aim down the site of the sniper rifle, making the other weapons like the springfield less accurate. Your man cannot lie down in the prone position..only crouch and standing. Otherwise...the game plays very much like COD I and would be an enjoyable addition to anyone who likes to play this game. Hope this helps in making your choice. DougRead full review
If you're expecting a stand-up fight, you're likely to be disappointed. However, this game has grown on me. Although the graphics are somewhat dated, the game is very atmospheric. I also love the sound of the gunfire. The weapon sounds are the best of any WWII game I've played so far. This game involves a LOT of sneaking around. You're not going to get more than a couple of steps charging into the open. You need to use cover, and you need to be very patient. That said, expect to die a lot. Some people have said this game is like "James Bond 007 vs. the Nazis" and I think that's a fair assessment. Although the game is called "Allied Assault", most of the missions are Intelligence-related commando missions, and most of the time, you'll be completely alone. When you're not alone, don't expect much help from your compatriots. They mostly get in the way. There was only one mission where I was glad they were there, and that was just because I had a medic patching me up ever couple of minutes. If you're looking for a run-and-kill game, you'll be disappointed. On the down-side, I was disappointed with several cases of enemy-respawning, especially those moments of infinite-enemy-respawning where the enemies keep coming until you complete some task (or turn off the dreaded alarm). There were also a few cases where I had to complete a task in a very particular way or I would be killed. In one rare case, the only solution was to run like a maniac, firing at everything in my path until I reached the 'get-away vehicle'. Still, the game has grown on me, and it has a lot of fun moments.Read full review
Great game and expansions! This game was awesome back in the day and it is still, everything I remembered and more. Don't buy this game if you have newer Windows like 10. Will not work. Windows Vista will work greatly, of course anything older than vista will work as well

If you want to taste history this game for you. Graphics are good but don't try to compare to year 2019! Story is epic based on historical events and facts and gives you the sense of D Day and the following months. Adjustable different skill levels makes enjoyable for a wide player group. It is a winner game

They are great games, graphics are not the greatest, but all and all is worthe the money for them!! The games are fun and pretty hard, but its the fun bout the games. if they were easy it would be a waste of money. I would recomend these games to anyone, yes they are pretty old but really fun!! Its makes you feel like your really in the war, but your not you know what i mean!! If i were to say they are dumb, i would be wrong!! I love Medal of Honor games!! I mostly played them on my playstation 2, so i thought i would try these for windows, and they were great!!
Buying Warchest is by far the best way to go if considering any of the Medal of Honor games. I play Spearhead online with people from all over the world quite a few nights per week. You don't have to have a superfast pc to enjoy this game but it sure wouldn't either. Even years after its original release date there are still thousands of people online playing this game night after night and day after day. My favorite online version of play is Freeze Tag. Try it you'll like it!
This game should only be played on hard. The challenge scales way up. Dying becomes common for you. This was the first WWII I played that didn't have a demonic/fantasy slant to it. THe battles are intense the enemies just keep coming. I don't remember how many times I was killed by German Shepherds and Dobermans in the game. Hard to shoot a charging dog with a Springfield, even harder when there is another one right behind it. You only have time to get off one shot, reload and die. The first time I played Omaha Beach I died coming off the boat. I stepped into one of the random exploding shells hitting the beach from inland. There is just to much good stuff to talk about in this game chest. As I mentioned, Omaha also Bastogne, Italy, Germantown (snipers everywhere) and the snow to name a few. Play them on the hardest level & you will appreciate all that time spent getting carpal tunnel.Read full review
For being one of the first WWII game, I have to say this was fairly fun. But even compared to its contemporaries, this game turned out to be merely mediocre. The graphics to today’s standards absolutely suck. The gameplay is just routine shooting, shooting, finding a health pack, then shooting again. It can be fun and some parts of the game (D-Day landing in particular) can be extremely challenging and exciting but for the most part, it’s just a shooter. Don’t expect Call of Duty or Brothers in Arms for this. What really is amazing about this game though is the multiplayer. Not too many people may play it online nowadays but even still, it’s a great experience. I’ve always had great, great fun with Medal of Honor online gaming. I can actually say, if people still play online, online Medal of Honor is even better than online Call of Duty. I am serious.Read full review
Once you have played other WWII video games and load MOHAA you will suddenly realize which games are the best entertainment. MOHAA is very different from other WWII games and introduces the player to authentic looking uniforms and map graphics. There are no line graphics in the squad players of the single campaign or in the entire multiplayer collection. When compared to other games , especially EA games , MOHAA , breaks the mould by introducing more authenticity as the theme. Allowing fluent gameplay and realism not found in many other WWII titles. If realism is what you are looking for from EA , MOHAA has it , hands down. The single player campaign is long and challenging , while the enemy are somehow more difficult to assume as victims. Very unlike previous video games. Realism is where the WWII game arena lives , in reality , not in a box , and MOHAA proves that completely. MOHAA is like a good book that can't be put down or put off before it is finished , while the online play is both quick and demanding.Read full review
I wanted a good shooter that would run ok on my laptop with it's limited video capabilities. The game works fine on my Thinkpad with only 256MB memory and 8MB ATI graphics. It's a T30 P4 2gig. Also playable on an older P2 400mhz with a 16MB nVidia card. Not great but it runs. I wish there were more single player missions. Also the AI teammates will get themselves killed (obviously to make it more difficult) and you can't trick them out of it (kinda funny tho)!
