This takes me back to when rap had more substance, not that there were not silly raps then, but there was more subatance than what you see now. Kool Moe Dee always struck me as being more intelligent than most rappers of his time. The way he raps, on this CD is very smooth and controlled, it is hard to belive that this is his first major effort on his own. GO SEE THE DOCTOR is a less learned from sleeping around, LITTLE JON is another lesson on how rough the streets can be, and ROCK STEADY is just plain fun. I with the language had been toned down a bit on the GO SEE THE DOCTOR track, but I know what he is trying to say. Overall a good solo debut from Kool Moe Dee.
