Powerful. Great sounds for guitar and vocals. Haven't even tried the looper yet, but looking forward to it! Can be as easy to use as browsing the very useable presets but has the capability to tweak the most minute parameters and customize in mind-bending ways! Road-worthy build quality. Support seems top notch. Numerous and useful firmware updates. There are tons of practical and entertaining operational videos posted to YouTube quite often. Highly recommended!

I was not told about the following problem before buying the product. Once I contacted them (PitBull) after I'd received it they told to contact TC Helicon directly and would not stand behind their product. 'I'm having an issue with my Voicelive 3 that when I record a loop it plays back with a terrible 'staticky' sound on the track. I've only just purchased it and this is the first few times using it. I've updated the firmware and checked/changed all cables etc.. But to no avail.' It's now going to cost me $200 to have fixed. This is poor after-sales follow up from the seller. Very Average!!!

I unplugged my GTX and plugged in my VL3 and, after getting through the learning curve, will never look back. The harmonies are more natural sounding, and the control I have over all aspects of the sound this will reproduce makes it my go to processor. Yeah, I had to listen to videos in order to more readily understand how to make adjustments and what I need to do to steer this monster, but after that, it's really not that bad. Still can't change direction easily in the middle of a gig, but that's OK if I plan properly beforehand. Haven't done much with the looper yet as I don't need that feature with what I do, but the ability to mix vocal effects, add various harmonies, etc is superb.

I have or have had the line 6 jm4, the Boss rc300, and previous TC helicons. Non are instant using all of the functions. Line 6 is the easiest to start with but lacks quality recordings and is limited on voice. The Boss has the quality, but no voice and very difficult to use. The Voice live 3 is excellent. The directions need to be improved and I wish I could name the loops. All of the quality is there and I have been able to replace some of my effects because it has so many options. So far, the best unit I have ever used.

I'm still learning how to use this pedal as it's fairly complex and comes with a boat load of presets, almost too many. The quality of the harmonies is really quite amazing. The guitar effects are very good. If I was to make any recommendations, it would be that the pedal should have two volume controls that are easily and quickly adjusted, one for the microphone and one for the guitar (or other instrument). These could be buttons or pedals. The volumes of these parameters in the presets vary from preset to preset so when switching rapidly form one to another, I find there are volume issues that are quirky.
