It is quiet enough to be able to hear your t.v. I love it!!! VERY GOOD PURCHASE !!!! The seller was great too. It was missing a feature that was indicated in the description. So he gave me an additional discount to compensate for it. That was greatly appreciated!. It is great as it doesn't need as much force since it is taller than others,so subsequently quieter.Only slight annoyance is the remote for this particular model is weak so use remote from my other Lasko 48 inch fan which is compatible. Has nice look and large numbers that are easy to read from across room .
