    Great truck to bash and looks great.

    The Traxxas TRX4M Defender has been a revelation for me - I have been building custom SCX24 for a couple of years and they are fairly specialised, would never think of taking one in water, sand or mud. Enter this blue beast. Traxxas got it right almost everywhere - bushings and plastic gearing will last very well and are very resilient to harsh use like getting stuck in the mud or sand and going in and out of water. THe only things I swapped straight away were the shocks for a bit more damping and smoothness and the wheels and tyres as I have many sets here from SCX24 experimentation over the years. I do recommend grabbing the crawler gears for the gearbox (Injora 40.3:1 or similar) if you want to go slow and climb better but this is a pretty good gift for kids, not super fast and able ...
