Arrived when promised and securely packaged, even the USPS could not have damaged it under "normal handling". Finally was able to use the Lense this weekend and the photo's produced were perfect. The only complaint, is the auto focus looking through the view finder looks like it's out of focus. Checking the photo's taken, everything was in focus, sharp and clear. I would be in the market for a telephoto Lense up to 600mm or possibly an "extender" that will work w/the Pentax K30 camera.

Excellent value for the money. Bought this one new primarily for the macro mode. A good auto focus lens that gives a very respectable spread of zoom. The macro mode has a longer minimum focus distance than I am used to but gives a good magnification whilst not crowding the subject. Like Sigma lenses f this type, switching from normal to macro and vice versa needs to be within a certain set of parameters, it took me a little while to get used to it but with time it would become easier. Works well with the older body and the new, generally a very useful lens.
