Streamlight has been a known leader in weapon lights for decades and this model is useful to me because I use it as a weapon light/hand stop on my CZ Scorpion pistol. I replaced the stock handstop and put this on the bottom rail. It can be repurposed for an AR or any other platform with the pressure switch kit. But for this application it's just easier to hit the push button switch on the light. It has a low profile, and mounts far enough up on the picatinny rail there is no shadow from the barrel. I also use a TLR1 on my carry pistol. High quality tac lights. 5/5

Been a faithful Streamlight guy from the original TLR-1S(have 4 of them), Protac Handheld 500 Lumen, Protac Rail Mount HL-X 1000 Lumen and their TLR-6(365)and have always been conditionally happy and satisfied. This TLR-RM1 though is a bit of a disappointment. It is rated at 500 Lumens but don’t seem like it is. Bigger spill and little throw with a lesser hot spot compared to the regular TLR-1S which is only rated at 300 Lumens. Really thought this one would give the same single, CR123 powered Inforce WML a run for its money from a trusted name but falls short. Almost has the same shape like the Inforce but has a tail cap, remote switch connector(wired remote switch sold separately) and is covered by a rubber plug that falls off easily as if it was an afterthought. Will include pictures that does not look anywhere near real life due to phones picture management software but just for a reference point but just in my personal opinion and observation, this Streamlight TLR RM1 just doesn’t have enough oomph to take over the micro compact rifle mounted lights division. Still up to you folks to buy it and try it out though!Read full review
