Camera is great, lens is better used for decoration.
The body of the camera seems to be working fine, and the light meter does work. However the lens was made for a much older model and was very loose. Took it to a camera shop and they told me the lens was not going to work well for that camera so I spend about $130 on a better lens.

rough start!
The film advance jammed and I couldn't use the camera. It would have cost me more to get it fixed than I paid for it. Ah! my chance to take apart a Nikon!!! I opened up the camera and found a little piece of plastic jamming the cam that hooked to the film advance shaft....I removed it and, Eureka!!! everything works just fine. I love the 50mm 1:1.4 lens. Nikon FM, a great vintage camera.
Nikon FM is a very good vintage camera which i searched from many sources but lastly from Ebay. This camera has many good features for everyone who loves photography should buy one, for example, soft shutter button, good weight when you hold in your hand , accurate mechanical shutter. I can't explain all of them , you should try yourself.
