The carbon fiber Series Two Systematic Gitzo GT2542S tripod is designed to be lightweight and durable. The 6x carbon fiber legs of the Gitzo Tripod feature a G-Lock leg-locking system in which the lock becomes stronger as the payload on the leg increases. The Gitzo GT2542S is divided into four leg sections, which extend to a maximum operational height of 51.1 inches. Well suited to heavier DSLR cameras with lenses of up to 300 mm, this Gitzo Tripod can also support heavier video equipment. At the minimum height of operation, this Gitzo Tripod stands just 3.6 inches high, allowing the photographer some extremely low-angle shooting potential. The GT2542S weighs 3.8 lbs and folds down to a compact length of 21.9 inches. The top of the unit features a safe-lock polymer disc with a locking screw for attaching equipment. The base of each leg features removable rubber feet to allow the operator to switch them out for accessories or replace worn out feet. The Anti-Leg Rotation system allows setup of the tripod in 15 seconds or less.
