Scott's Review of Songs From the Neighborhood--Great!
My friend, Dennis Scott, produced this great CD out of a desire to pay homage to the late, great, Mr. Rogers. I think he did a superb job of finding just the right artists (some, from right here in dear ol Nashville), and placing their gifted voices with just the right selection of a Mr. Rogers song. I have known Dennis for a while, and have even worked with him. [But alas, he had already given away all of his complimentary copies of this project. I am pleased with the easy purchase of this project from ebay, and it was a very reasonable price from the seller, I might add.] ALSO, the bonus DVD is a great behind the scenes "tour" of the song-selection and the recording process with the artists and musicians...you can really tell that it was a labor-of-love project for Dennis. A fresh take on all my old favorites, well done by current artists. Will be sharing it with grand kids during our music portion of the morning. Gets us moving and sets a happy tone for the day.
