a really decent little Mp3 player, however coming from an last generation e-series model from Sony I have to say they really cut back on many of the things that I used to love on my older e-series, like the ability to put wall papers on the back ground. the player still has a sound equalizer but it does not have as many sound enhancement options as it used to have, but this however I'm willing to forgive because when Sony set out to make this Mp3 player they wanted to make a cheap music player so they pretty much had to cut some features from there last gen e-series which was a little more pricey at the time. One thing that I am not willing to forgive about the player is the fact that it lags when I am looking through my music library, I would press the left or right D-pad but it would not respond all that well to my presses, making me learn how to navigate through this Mp3 player, which is sad because on the older model i did not have to any such thing. over all this was a good little buy because it was cheaper then a comparable Ipod nano but they tried a little to hard on the "cheap" bit, but if your looking for a decent little player this one does what it has to do, but you'll probably be better off getting the E353 but it only goes up to 8Gb, or better yet a Sansa fuze.Read full review
I've had my Sony NWZ-E345 (16GB) for a couple months now and I use it every day. It has great battery life, great sound quality, and great value. I particularly like the fact that it uses a standard USB cable and you can just drag and drop files into it like it's a flash drive. My only complaints are that the screen scratches easily (just by keeping it in my pocket with my keys). And that the interface/buttons could be a little more intuitive. I like to be able to change tracks and pause it without looking at the device, but I always accidentally hit wrong buttons. Buy it.
I like the size - very thin and lightweight. The FM radio reception seems very good. It is easy to get to a specific song, photo, or movie. I record talk radio during the day, move the file to the Walkman, and listen at night. My only complaint: Sometimes I am fast forwarding through the news breaks and I accidentally move to the next song on the list. If this happens 2.5 hours into a three hour broadcast there is no way to start at the end of the broadcast and rewind back the 0.5 hours. You have to start at the beginning and fast forward 2.5 hours. That is a long time to hold the FF button down. Also, you cannot delete a file directly from the player - you have to be connected to a computer. That is not a big deal, but something to be aware of if you are running tight on memory. Other than the problem with big mp3 file positioning I am really happy with the quality and function of this playerRead full review
The custom EQ settings should have been about a 30-band EQ, instead of the fuzzy-wuzzy 5 band, though the Bass Boost helped alot for in-ear headphones. It sounds good with closed-ear headphones, though; very impressive. Another tidbit that would make this a better Walkman is that the battery could have been a replaceable battery. It seems like all of the current market MP3 players utilize the built-in battery type, and they do not last forever. They simply should have considered this when making it, since every thing else about the Walkman probably would have lasted a lifetime, given the fact that there are no moveable parts inside of it. Oh well, I guess that is an issue for the manufacturer.
I bought it cause I needed it to go along with a motorcycle stereo that I had bought for a atv. This is a tough little thing I have all ready lost it in the mts. And it stayed there till the next day. When I fount it it had all ready been ran over I thing 3 times. I picked it up and it was dead. I brought it home charged it up and it works fine. Now my dislikes but I'll still keep it cause to me the pros still out waight the cons. It was advertised that it had a 30 hour battery life which it don't. The advertisement pics makes it look better then it really is. I didn't pay attention enought to see that it was refurbished if I had I wouldn't of bought it. My fault so I'll keep it. Also I should of noticed that it doesn't record. Again my fault. All in all I,m ok with it. But if I have to ever buy another one I will open my eyes wider next time.Read full review
