About this product

Product Information

The Nikon FM10 has all the features necessary for creating vibrant pictures. The incredibly lightweight 35-70mm zoom lens, which comes with the FM10 kit, covers a broad range from wide-angle to normal to telephoto. At the wide-angle end, you can take spectacular landscapes or group portraits. The mid-range setting has a natural perspective and is ideal for general photography, while the telephoto end brings you closer for those beautiful, detailed portraits. The choice is yours: you can take dramatic sports pictures where you "freeze" the action with a fast shutter speed, just when your favorite player scored a goal, for example, or you might use a slow shutter speed to highlight the movement of water flowing over rocks in a river. A variety of compatible, optional Nikon Speedlights are available for those brilliant nighttime portraits of your favorite people or fill-in flash for daytime photography with back-lit subjects.

  • Nikon Fm 35mm film camera

This camera Is probably close to 30 years old. They were a compact high quality manual camera that does not need a battery except to run the light meter. This model is full of high quality machined parts and is practically bulletproof. A lot of pros who already owned f3 highpoint pro camera bought these for backup and informal shooting. The camera uses Nikon auto indexing lens and earlier. Shutter speed tops at 1/1000 and flash guide number is 1/125. They are priced reasonably now. I am tickled to have one just to collect if not to use. I wish that i could still buy slide film for this camera. If you have lots of money buy a Nikon Fm2 which has 1/4000 top speed and later models have an aluminum shutter instead of a titanium shutter that the first ones had. Both are good but go for ...

  • Great Semi-professional Camera

This camera is a great in between camera for the amateur or the professional. It features an easy to use center-the-LED exposure system, and very intuitive controls. There are only a couple problems with the camera. It feels very light, less durable than older versions, when you hold it, and the thin, goldish layer of paint on the metal will peel of very easily. Overall, a great buy for the money especially if you can find it used. With the paint chipping problem, all I can say is it looks better without it.

  • excellent picture quality + easy to use

the nikon fm10 is a GREAT analog slr. it's very simple too. you could seriously learn everything about the camera in 5 minutes. i've been using it for the past month on slide film. now i'm convinced that film is NOT dead. and it will not die anytime soon. for $150, the picture quality matches up to those DSLR's that cost $650. i am very satisfied.

  • Thank you

I am glad I could just purchase this without BIDDING on it and LOOSING! LOL Thank you,my 17 year old daughter will be taking photograpy in school, she has lost any passio she had for the arts and hopefully this camara sparks some light in her pretty little little head and she discovers the wonders of true photograhy. she is not a very happy kid nor does she have many things, this camara will hoefully open her eyes to the art as happens to many amatuers at the teenage years. Thank you again for putting it for sale, we will leave your name engraved on it as a momento. as ever, Linda Malone ans Shannon Rose
