About this product

Product Information

The on-going core of this atlas is its standard of realistic illustrat ions that portray anatomical relationships. Photographs of actual cada ver dissections along with numerous schematic drawings aid the student in anatomic orientation. Chapters are organized by region, in order o f a typical dissection. Each chapter contains two sections: a descript ion and illustration of organs, and a depiction of those organs within the regional anatomy. New to this edition is an increase of MRI pictu res, approximately 30 schematic drawings made even more precise, and a n updated text where appropriate.

The book was received in perfect condition and is exactly as described. I have been writing daily in its twin for over 4 years. It has held up very well!! So glad I found another. Pics show new journal on the left. Great communication, good packaging and shipped the book out quickly. Post Office, not so prompt!! Highly recommend seller!

  • A "must have"

I love this book. I think it is a "must have" for anyone taking any upper division course in Human Anatomy. Color Atlas of Anatomy is a very usefull tool/study aid for lab practicals (study with-out the smell) and is wonderful for showing you what your cadaver dissection should look like. For those who are taking Human Anatomy with-out dissection, I recomend this book even more. The Atlas will give you a true feel of where things are in the human body and you will be able to see structures in relation to one another in a real body rather than in a model or a drawn picture. I highly recommend Color Atlas of Anatomy to anyone!

  • A "must have" for medical students

If you know what formaldehyde and cadaver smells like, then you know that you need an anatomy guide that is a little more realistic than Netter's or Grey's anatomy. I love the detail in this book. As a chiropractic student, our spinal labs include a detailed dissection of human muscle, nerve, bone, fascia, etc. I would be lost in my spinal anatomy lab without this book. I try to spend as little time as possible with our cadaver (whom we affectionately call "Grandma Martha") and this book allows me to study the material on my own and still see accurate color and awsome detail. The best part is that everything is labeled. My only gripe about this book is how it is organized. You will need to spend a little time tabbing the important parts so you are not constantly flipping back to the ...

  • Real gross anatomy pics

I bought this book to replace hours of studying in the lab on real cadavers for my gross anatomy class in medical school. The pics in it are real and on a dissection that was performed by a professional, so all of the gross anatomy structures were easy to see. There are many different pics and different angles of pics. All of the structures (and many more) were listed in this book. I found it very helpful and time efficient.
