Loved the quaint English scenery, especially the early houses. The main character is likeable, good back and forth between him and his oafish assistant. Didn't like the first episode, a little too kinky for me; hoping the rest will be better. Grateful for the subtitles.

Great acting, beautiful settings, gruesome murders----but the whole thing is so very British, it left me cold. The tongue in cheek humor seemed silly at times and I was exhausted after being taken through a zillion plot twists. I never really got to know any of the characters well and that bugged me.
