    Good entry-level networked stereo receiver

    A good basic receiver, distilled down to the essentials. Most inputs were easy to set up. Bluetooth with iPhone was particularly easy. I was disappointed, however, with the fussy Wi-Fi network setup. Using the WPS option didn't always speed up connecting, either. This receiver did a far better job with a wired connection than with Wi-Fi. I suspect the type of security (WEP, WPA, etc) I chose might have been a factor. Via direct Ethernet cable, the R-N303 interacted well with my NAS, easily fetching the song files. For a product at this price level, however, the 2-line display and lack of a search function makes sense. I found the sound to be pleasant, clean and detailed, and effortless to listen to for long stretches, and simply wonderful through headphones. The excellent phono amplifier ...
