Pilot multiple attack choppers armed with the latest in military technology in Apache: Air Assault from Activision. Your goal is to fly to various international hotspots to neutralize a series of terrorist threats. Over the course of 16 multi-stage missions, you'll engage enemies in the air and on the ground along the African coast, across Middle Eastern mountains, and through Central American jungles. The terrain has been re-created from high resolution map photos taken by satellite. Two play settings include an "arcade" option for fast-paced action and a "realistic" option for more simulation-style elements. The game's campaign mode can be played alone or cooperatively with a friend on the same television screen, while online options allow for competitive action in a choice of formats, from Team Deathmatch and Ground Attack to Capture the LZ and Ground Strike.

This is a simulator. If you've flown real or rc helicopters you're gonna love it. If not practice a bunch and then practice more. You get full aerobatics without worrying about chopping off your tail. Very nice! The AI gunner gets a lot of work done too. One of the best simulator action games of all time!

All flight junkies will find this to be a fantatic game!
I bought this game because I have always been impressed by aircraft, especially helicopters. AAA gave me the opportunity to maneuver a chopper in combat and get a realistic feel of flight. This game is not for people who are only the run-in-gun, first person shooter fans. This is a different type of fun game that is for people who want to dive into true flight dynamics which are really on key. You frequently have to multitask as you would with the flight controls of an actual Apache. The controls in realistic mode are challenging at first, but with practice you can embark into a new realm of flight. If you have never flown heli's before, then the training mode provides you more control and gives you opportunity to become familiar with chopper controls. You may want to buy a flight ... You have campaign and free flight options providing, it seems, endless primary and secondary missions in solo with a choice of three types of Apaches (AH-64D Longbow, AH-64X, AH-1), the Mi-35 Hind, and MQ-8B Fire Scout - all flyable with several skins for each. Each offer choices of arsenal loads. I cannot comment on coop mode. In other games you may be given a brief chance to fly a chopper, i.e., Ace Combat. This game is all chopper, all the time with an impressive array of fun, challenge and realism. AAA has staying power simply for its uniqueness. Fun FPS Flying Game
Great game, a little difficult at first to fly the chopper but you get used to it. If you like first person flying games this is a bit different than flying an airplane but it is a lot of fun. Good graphics, good missions. I would recommend it.
