I rebought this game because I hate the new NBA live franchise. The game works perfectly and has the instruction manual. The older I get the more I appreciate older consoles. If you have older consoles and games hold on to them.

Although EA have had a fairly smooth run of their NBA Live series of late, the current instalment tweaks the control system and incorporates the Dynamic DNA, the system that mirrors real-world events into your copy of the game and basically makes the season more official and realistic to the player. The latest installment of the EA Sports NBA Live series has far surpassed the 09 edition as it allows much more player movement and interesting features such as the online make a squad option where players can team up to compete against another squad online. The best part of the newest version is the loose ball battles and the realistic rebounding. If I have one complaint it is the overwhelming number of turnovers. I find the AI is a bit simple and players have no concept of the out of bounds line. To be honest....I was gonna pick up 2k10 cause I have been on 2k for the past 3 years but something told me to go back to the boys that started it all...EA SPORTS! and so I rented this game....and WOW, much better than last year. The graphics are good, teams are accurate...and the atmosphere of the game is alot better (took notes from 2k i guess) and the player models and ball handling is much better than 2k. The only thing that is better with 2k than this game is that NBA LIVE the passing is not as good and the sub patterns are bad...but overall this is a fun game and got my vote over 2k this year.... The game is tight and it has alot of depth. It's ultra realistic and really represents the game quite well. I like that the game is not too easy and it still is easy to use. EA sports is the leader in sporting games in my eyes. You can't go wrong with an EA game!!
