Pros: Great value for price. Powerful and accurate. Appears well-made and sturdy. Fiber optic front sight is a great feature. Cons: So far the only issue is difficulty in loading pellets. The chamber is too large and deep. Sometimes the pellet reverses position when you drop it in and you have to drop it out and reload until it drops in the right position. If you have big hands it might be more frustrating.

If all you are doing is low cost plinking, and target shooting, I would go with the Daisy 880 for less money, and about half the price from some retailers. The Daisy pumps easier, and BB FPS is 800 max compared to 755 FPS max with the Crosman. From personal back to back trials of both, I don't believe the Crosman 755 claim, but do believe the Daisy 800 claim. The Daisy is made cheaper with more plastic, but that does not seem to extend to performance. The Daisy is half the weight of the Crosman 2100 which may come into play if the rifle is for a kid. The Crosman iron sight accuracy is terrible, and may be due to the barrel in a barrel design while the Daisy is a single barrel design, and is much more accurate with iron sights. If you are getting this rifle for .177 pellets, then I would go with the Crosman, as loading is much easier. Again, Crosman uses better materials in the 2100, and the Daisy feels very cheap, so if materials are your deciding factor, the Crosman wins hands down.Read full review

Nicely built with the metal receiver, reminds me of the older (60's) 760 I had plus it has the rifled barrel too. The design is more of a modern rifle as well and it also fits adults much better. Good power for a BB/pellet gun at a claimed 800 fps. I put a cheap 1" 4X scope on it with sight-through mounts and with that rifled barrel, using pellets I can hit a dime at 50' all day long! Could likely nail a quarter at 100' just as well. Even with BB's it's plenty accurate for what it is. No complaints at all!

For the money I think this is the best air rifle value out there. Its not the highest velocity pellet rifle, but its easy to shoot and plenty accurate, and more than enough power for rodents and squirrels out to 25 yards or so. Can't go wrong with this one. The open sights were perfectly adjusted straight out of the box.

This gun has been around for many years. Design still hold up as a solid buy. In old days it would have had a real wooden stock but the modern plastic is not bad. Great action and easy to load and use.
