  • Classic Mega Man in 16-bit!

At last! What was only available to play on the Sega Channel is now here to enjoy at home. First of all this is a copy of the original that only came out in Europe and Japan. Second there is no permanent save feature. You can save your progress when playing 1 of the 3 games, but when you finish the game it will automatically reset, and all save data will be lost. This means there is no way to play the bonus game Wily Tower. Now the good news. This cart has the first 3 Mega Man games in beautiful 16-bit graphics. Each game plays just has it should, and you can still select the stage/Robot Master again(after it's defeated)in Mega Man 1. One welcomed change is in Mega Man 2 you keep any energy tanks you have, when you get a game over. Mega Man moves fine, but his Mega Buster fires ...

  • The Truth

As this was " officially " never released in North America to a physical cartridge, It was available to play on the Genesis if you had Sega TV (online playable games through a rental charge a long long time ago). Unless its the Japan version, You will be getting something pretty new. This is a re-make of the NES version of part 1,2 and 3. The animation in character movement is slightly better, and there is a unique section of the game after you beat all 3 parts that is only for this system. If your a collector of rare stuff & the game is less than $50, box & manual, its worth it. If you are expecting it to be better for nestalga reasons on an improvement over the NES, you could skip it & not worry. There are little things, like they tried to make the music a tiny bit different, so ...

  • game is a repro

although the game itself is very fun and in good condition, it is a repro and only worth about half what i paid. not upset about this fact because i shouldve looked into wily wars more before ordering. putting 'super rare' on an item that is a repro is false and just fishing for buyers.

  • A tragic compliation that many may never experience

A few years before the internet became a force to be reckoned with; the Sega Channel was seen as a revolutionary service where you were able to download Genesis games on demand through your cable service. I was fortunate to live in one of the test cities for the Channel and had to wheel and deal with my parents to get it. It cost me half of my monthly allowance, but being able to download around 40 games that changed monthly was a small price to pay. Without the Sega Channel, I would have never been able to experience Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It was only released in the US via the Sega Channel. Why it was never released here is one of the biggest video game controversies according to me. The first three Mega Man games are very near and dear to my gaming heart. Few games have ...

  • A good deal

For people who do not have a Nintendo this is s great way to experience Mega Man. For those that have both, this is a great way to save money. This is also a good way too save money if you do not want to spend the big bucks on the Megadrive version.
