    not good just average

    I bought it because I am, of course, a huge KISS fan. However; this cd in my oppinion is a lame attempt for Gene to strike out on his own. It just seemed like he was just filling a time slot in his life that was boring and he needed something to do to pass that moment. I am very disappointed with this effort as it appeared that there seemed to be no planning involved and that he only used second rate musicians behind him. If you ask me, he only seriously writes with Paul Stanley and that's what he needs to continue doing.

    Gene Simmons ***HOLE

    Gene Simmons, bass player, vocalist, and founding member of the Rock band KISS finally released a second solo album after 26 years. The album is excellent! This is a man who does not need to prove himself, but apparently wanted to display other sides of his personality that would not have been in profile with KISS. Gene manages to entertain us still with everything from Easy Listening, R&B-themes, Hip Hop-themes, to finally what made him: Hard Rock. I highly recommend this album to any KISS fan who admires Gene Simmons. Even his girlfriend Shannon Tweed and their children have a role on the album, along with other noted musicians. The album is in poor taste: it's Genes' sense of humor that brings out the best in this album, most especially the title track! Enjoy! Page Sausman

    Gene Simmons Solo CD

    This is a solo music CD by Gene Simmons co-founder of the super rock band KISS. The music has ballads, soft rock and hard rock tracks. If you like the rock band Kiss, then you will probably like this CD alot. Ballads like Waiting For The Morning Light, Beautiful, and 1,000 Dreams. Then tracks like Firestarter, Now That You're Gone, and Whatever Turns You On, are rock genre. Then the more harder rock sounds of Sweet & Dirty Love, ***hole, Weapons Of Mass Destruction, Dog, Black Tongue, Carnival Of Souls, and If I Had A gun. Overall I would rate this CD very good. Alot of the music reminds me of past Kiss songs, not word for word or beat for beat, but the overall feel of the musical sound, it is Gene Simmons but in some ways it is a Kiss sound too.

    Why I Like This Cd?

    Why i like this cd? well it's gene's second solo album outside of kiss, and it has some really good songs. he also had some help from the Zappa Family, Dave Navarro, Shannon Tweed, Louise Tweed, Sofie Tweed-Simmons, Nick Tweed-Simmons and some friends of Nick. Also Bob Dylan, Bob Kulick, Bruce Kulik, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer. Along the songs on here, there is a remake of Prodigy.
