  • An average shooter with a well known brand name

As far as 1st person shooters go, this title is average at best. If you're a fan of Robotech, then you might appreciate this game. It does a good job of placing you in the middle of the Robotech: The New Generation saga. You feel just like one of the characters. Unfortunately you're basically just using the Cyclone motorcycle for the entire game. The enemies are repetitious and some of the battles are just tedious. And this is coming from a Robotech fan. While this was a decent game, personally I enjoyed Robotech: Battlecry much, much more. The main problem was that I just didn't feel as if I was in the game. If this was just a 1st person shooter without the Robotech name behind it, I probably wouldn't have given this game a 2nd look. As I stated earlier, if you're a fan of ...

  • OK FPS, great for fans!

To start off with, I bought this title having seen the TV series and read all the books, so it piqued my curiosity to see a ROBOTECH game based around the Invid Invasion; this is the kind of thing I'd been waiting a decade to play. I didn't feel let down by the game; I felt like it stayed pretty true to the feel of the series and the evolution of the story was believable. I loved being able to assume the role of a freedom fighter against the Invid, and piloting a Cyclone was a big plus. I think the weapons were pretty cool, and all from the stories or series, but I would have liked to see more of them (as in a greater variety). The number and type of enemy were rather limited (due to constraints from the story I guess) but still provided plenty of challenge. The puzzles in this weren't ...

  • Almost There

It is a fun game to play but way short of what I was expecting. It is literally a short game, which makes you wanting for more. Graphics are ok, nothing amazing. It has more of a Halo flavor than Robotech. No laser guns for you or multiple rockets, sorry. However, it is pretty close to the original story. Nevertheless, I do not agree with the way parts of the story turn out. I am still waiting for a decent Robotech game that will exploit the huge potential that there is in such series.

  • Really Disappointing

Being a fan of the Robotech television series when I was in high school, I was really looking forward to far better graphics and gameplay. When I see the graphics on other games like God of War and then look at the plain and lackluster graphics on Robotech: Invasion, it is obvious that they really didn't put much effort into it. The gameplay is simple, boring, and not inspiring of the original show. Robotech: Invasion is "shovelware" with the attempt to gain a fast buck. I am so glad that I got this used because buying this at the release price would have had me foaming at the mouth. Avoid. Don't even buy for nostolgia purposes.

  • OK, but not great

The graphics, sound, music, gameplay, all just OK. Not a very good 1st person shooter, not a great Robotech game, Battlecry was better. All of the big FPS games are better than this, but it's fun for a short while due to the fact it's Robotech.
