Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits

One of the best rpg you can player. It's as good as Dragon Inquisition. It has some intense moments, dialogues. Good graphics for a ps2 games. Long 60h+ story. Compelling story and good variety. Nice characters but it's not perfect as some dialogue are a little cheesy or some characters needed more development but the game in general is really good

  • Better than I thought it, not as good as it could be.

Basically, a fun game all around. Lots of characters all with their own unique avatar, style, personality and fighting skills, which I love. Bebedora is especially funny, if not a bit morbid, though that's a lot of why I love her. The problem is so much of the game falls into the realm of cliche. The story has been told many times before, though there's a slight twist in the style of parentage which, while it has been done, is not something I see often enough to mind. The battle system isn't particularly new either, nor is it very flashy, which could be a turn-off to some. It is still enjoyable, and the battles are based thanks to your strongest skills using stones instead of mana, which are consumable and thus cannot simply be refilled at an inn. These stones are easily ...

  • ARC THE LAD; NOBLE STORY

When I played Arc the Lad, the first thing that caught my attention was the storyline. Just like in a good movie, whith in 30 minutes it had me hooked. the main charaters were identifed and I new it was goning to the classic good againt evil. In no way did the story go off into a foreign dialog that would confuse the player. it was straight and to the point. also the graphics were not to bad and contruibuted in submerging the chacters and myself into the story where you cared what happen and what happen to yourself. you had over (14) playable charaters that keep the action, graphics, and the life of the story on course. in my opinion whether video games is a art or not. They can allow our imaganation to go futher than any book could ever us allow. We can now become part of the ...

  • IF YOU OVERLOOKED THIS ONE, YOU MISSED OUT!

I found this game while browsing for good deals on DVDs. I read other reviews which stated this was a really enjoyable game that somehow had not caught the buyers' eye and had been left behind by RPGers. I am always looking for a good RPG game so I bought this one (really cheap.) I found it to be true: Arc the Lad had a wonderful, fully-fleshed out story which cover the gamit of emotions as well as prejudice, hatred, love, deceit, betrayal, trust, caring and acceptance. The characters, humans and Deimos (a mutant race), were deep and their dialogues, sensitivities and emmotionally twists and turns easily related to by the player. I am a hard-core RPGer, but when I started playing this game I could hardly put it down - wanting to know what would happen next or around the next corner. ...

  • Fun game not too dated

Voice acting could be better but combat and story are fun and interesting.
