Poor design
The bulbs direct light to the ceiling while the dining room table is dark. The bottom third of the bulb is heat sink, which prevents light under the bulb. The only way to light the table is to turn the dimmer to max which produces a garish white light. I'm sure there are other LED candelabra bulbs that work better, but for the time being we are staying with incandescent bulbs.
