"Antique Victorian 18th Century Bed Warmer Hand Hammered Copper Dite Spider". This most interesting bed warmer arrived safely and in excellent condition. But, how did it work? Please let me know. I have the traditional bed warmer in copper with the long handle. Still, this "Dite Spider" -- I cannot find anything on the internet. I'm very pleased with my purchase. The vendor is absolutely fabulous. Many thanks. It weighs a ton - how did you ship it so cheaply? Linda K.

Thank you for your purchase Linda. The "Copper Dite Spider" bed warmer you purchased is very rare. I believe they removed the spider top by removing the ring and placed hot coals inside. Then they replaced the spider ring that was used to keep the sheets away from the hot coals. I hope you find this helpful!
