I LOVE this machine!
Bought this to replace a DeLonghi combo unit that died after about 8 years or so. Works even better! Perfect frothed milk every time for cappuccino & excellent drip coffee maker. Better than the one it replaced when THAT was new! Mine arrived 1 day early, excellently packaged with no breakage in the glass contents and was in MINT condition, with full instructions! I've made espresso, cappuccino and iced cappuccinos with this, ALL perfect and as good as, if not better than at the coffee shops. FIRST, buy a STAINLESS STEEL jug for frothing milk (find them here on Ebay)as this makes frothing the milk SO much easier and you get a much better end product, and you are all set to go! Can easily pay a lot more just for a cappuccino machine, but if you are patient, follow the instructions ... Bought this to replace a DeLonghi combo unit that died after about 8 years or so. Can easily pay a lot more just for a cappuccino machine, but if you are patient, follow the instructions (especially when and how to froth milk - this may take a couple of "dry runs" but you WILL eventually get the hang of it if you are patient and it IS well worth the effort), this works wonderfully! Even has a little attachment allowing you to just brew coffee on the one side and just steam on the other side so you can just froth milk without making espresso if you want! Personally, I don't even use the glass espresso carafe; I just stick a big soup mug under the espresso side and let the espresso start to drip into that and then start to froth the milk (I like a BIG cappuccino in the morning!). And the REAL beauty of this unit? You can make espresso/cappuccino AND drip coffee simultaneously; there are separate illuminated rocker type power switches on the front for each function. Remember to shut off the espresso power switch after you have finished as these type of units have been known to "weld" the coffee grounds holder to the unit after an hour or so if this isn't done! Clean up is a breeze with a removable drip tray on the espresso side; let the coffee warmer plate cool down on the other side and just wipe clean with a damp warm cloth to clean up any spillage. The exterior is a durable, thick, solid feel plastic which I just wipe over with a damp cloth occasionally to keep up a perfect appearance. This combination unit is wonderful and is used EVERY morning for cappuccino and coffee (and in summer probably at least twice a day for iced cappuccinos too!). Unit was described as "white" in listing, but was black (which is actually what I wanted anyway). Just make sure to "de scale" (clean) the espresso side AND the perfect froth attachment weekly to ensure continued perfect cups!

Perfect for small counter tops!
I bought this for guests to use in our B&B on Cape Cod. We have a La Pavoni we use for lattes, and many of our guests find a dual machine a pleasant surprise. This machine takes up a small amount of space, so it's perfect for our small kitchenette in our cottages.

Basic Krups
This is a basic Krups coffemaker - I would not rate it as a very good machine - it is light weight in design and not a machine that can take heavy physical abuse. It does make a fairly good cup of coffee - but I have had much better from Krups - but they were higher end models - coffee was very good.

I like the convenience of having both together in a combined unit. I like the fast brewing of both THink it would be a nice started present for a wedding gift Good ebay seller good communication quick shipping too!
