The tap appears to be quality HSS and it threaded the holes in my project perfectly. It came in a protective plastic tube, within a padded mailer with any damage. I selected this seller from the others on eBay selling 3/8 x 18 NPT taps because they showed a location only 20 miles away from my location hoping it would arrive quickly.
