    Great Set

    My 21 year old son has been looking to round out his collection of Bionicles, nostalgic for his "youth". He was so happy to find this item available, as some of these sets are very hard to come by. I say it is not durable because these parts tend to be fragile because of age. But this item was very carefully packaged and shipped. I purchased it as a gift for my son who has yet to lay eyes on it. I'm sure he will be pleased with the quality of this set when he visits from college.

    Great set but why did Lego decide to withdraw it?

    This set was top of my son's 11th birthday wish list and it took some tracking down to find a seller who wasn't charging scalping prices because Lego had discontinued it. It turned out to be a great purchase (we paid a bit less than regular retail) as it kept my son busy for hours in the building. The finished set is outstanding in terms of the number of extras it has - knobs to turn to make things open and close, fancy landing gear, components that separate in separate toys and so on. I can only hope that, with the demise of the bionicle series, Lego comes up with something equally challenging as these big bionicle kits. Having said that, I think the regular bionicle figures are disappointing junk, pretty much the same kit over and over again.

    Wonderful product

    Extremely fun to build and play with. This toy is very large, probably around 2 foot long and 1 foot tall, so make sure you have the space for it.
