    High quality for a reasonable price

    I am a collector of knives for thirty years or so. I primarily use my knives for outdoors purposes. This blade is made from quality steel and was shipped to me with a reasonably sharp edge. I spent about ten minutes sharpening the blade and now you can shave with it. I also do leather work and I almost always never use the sheath that comes with a knife that I buy. I am rather particular about my sheathes. I have no plans to make a replacement sheath for this Condor moonshiner. I am totally pleased with the knife and the sheath. I've seen cheaper knives out there but they dont have the same quality. Spend the extra dollars and buy a knife that should last you all your life. BTW, I just purchased another Condor knife only a bit smaller. Very pleased with my purchase.

    Moonshiner, best of the breed? YUP!

    This is IMHO the best "value" Bowie available today. It might just be the best production Bowie period, at ANY price. Ergonomically it's handle is superior; from just holding the knife to doing some heavy chopping, it will NOT slip out of your hand and will NOT produce hots spots, even without gloves on. The blade is 3/16" thick so it is not overly heavy, yet the edge geometry is so good, that it out chops knives that are much heavier. It can easily handle fine detail work as well as HEAVY chopping and battoning. It comes with a fine heavy duty leather pouch style sheath that holds it securely. There is NOTHING I do not like about this knife! I would give it a 10 out of 10 and did give it 5 stars.I believe EVERYONE needs one in their arsenal.

    Terrific knife!

    Arrived today. I purchased this after seeing the excellent reviews on You Tube on it. Seller packed it really well for shipment. Arrived very fast. Almost razor sharp right outta the box. A light honing was all I could do to improve it. Excellent and well shaped hardwood scales. Excellent ergonomic shape. I rubbed some Tung oil into them this afternoon to seal them. Really well made and fitted. I am pleased as heck. The holster for it made of thick and well oiled leather. Holds the knife really well. Just another added value to this knife. Looking forwards to taking it camping next week!

    ...Best Knife I Have Ever Owned...

    I bought one of these Condor Moonshiner knives two weeks ago from another place. That Condor knife is the best knife I have ever owned and I own quite a few Henckel knives from Solingen, Germany. I was poking around EBay one day and saw the same knife for ten dollars less than what I had paid including shipping; and so I bought it. I plan to keep the pair. I live on the Kenai Peninsula here in Alaska and a knife like this is quite useful up here.

    Excellent, solid knife

    I had never heard of Condor knives but I bought the Hudson Bay and was super impressed with it then I saw this knife, which although a different shape, was similar in size so I got it and now it's my favorite knife. This knife is solid and came super sharp, plus the leather case is great. I've used this knife to chop everything around the yard, from small trees, to weeds, just like a machete. I like this style better than the Hudson Bay knife because there's a hole in the handle to attach a lanyard (not included) which I did - a piece of 550 cord, so it doesn't fly out of your hand when you're using it. All in all I'd definitely recommend this knife if you want a large chopper that doubles as a butcher knife.
