Surprisingly Good Survival Horror Based On A TV Show? No way!

This game was alot better than I thought it would be. I would put this game up there with the original Silent Hill. It's effective with jump scares and has you feeling the same sense of dread entering a new area. This is a survival horror game set in the X-Files universe. It was worth every penny to acquire a sealed copy for me. Voice acting is on point, combat needs work, but alot of games from that time had weird control schemes to get used to. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. The Truth Is Out There.

  • "X-Files" game lives up to the series' standards

"The X-Files: Resist or Serve" is definitely a game "X-Files" fans need to pick up. What with the separate story lines for Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, the appearances of many supporting characters from the series, and the numerous call-backs to old episodes, this game has everything a fanboy needs for a trip down memory lane. The game itself has a solid storyline that utilizes "X-Files" mythology, but it also leaves a number of questions unanswered. **Minor spoiler alert** For example: Why are people affected by the black oil now zombies? They weren't zombies in the series. The game has some reasoning that says the alien artifact you find brings people back from the dead, but that seems like a convenient excuse to have Mulder and Scully shoot the crap out of zombies. **End minor ...

  • X-Files Resist or Serve PS2 game

Overall, I really enjoyed this game. There are times when I couldn't figure out what to do to get past a certain area, but found some message boards online that answered all of those questions. It probably wouldn't be good for a young kid because it does require some patience and problem-solving thought to get past certain situations. It's not just a run through, blow-them-up kind of game. X-Files fans will see that the storyline and a lot of the things in the game are true to the show. There are street names with X-Files episode names, supporting characters show up in the game, black oil, and more.

  • X-Files: Resist or Serve for PS2

X-Files: Resist or Serve is an excellent addition to any X-Files fan's collection, but if you are looking for just another video game, to be honest, it could be better. With heavy overtones of the Silent Hill and Resident Evil, the storyline leaves something to be desired. Game play is unique in a sense as you are able to play as both Agent Mulder and Scully; and the game has no short comings with any of the traditonal X-Files dialogue. If you are looking for a fun, yet not difficult game, X-Files: Resist or Serve is worth the play.

  • X-Files: Resist or Serve Review

A PS2 game, it's lots better than the previous PS game. Great scenario's in the levels & it has the computer guys in it interacting in Scully's game. Even though this X-Files game is more like the hotter PS2 games, it still doesn't give the player a 180 degree view and this makes it harder to kill bosses. But over all I would say this is a 'Must Play Game'& this is the reason I bought it.
