    Decent Macro lens but not the best

    When I originally purchased this lens, I had read on the internet that it did have a focus motor in Sony Alpha mount. It does not. When I received the lens, it did not focus on an A7R Mark II with a Sony LE-AE3 adapter - no movement at all. I then wrote Sigma and they responded that this lens does not have a motor in the Sony Alpha mount. It is manual focus only unless you get a Sony LE-AE4 adapter which has its own internal motor. Still, for a macro lens using manual focus it works well.

    Excellent Lens

    Wow is it sharp. Price was not too expensive. Tried it on Minolta a7 (film) and Sony a6000 with la-ea4 adapter. Acquires focus fast for a Macro. Beautiful colours. A definite keeper.
