I didnt think it would work. But i watched some youtube videos saying it works. So i got almost a gallon of it. I put in the right amount and then put in a couple gallons of gas and drove a few miles. The check engine light was on for a P0420. The catalytic converter was below threshold. That light went out by itself. I didnt have to shut it off with my OBDII SCANNER. Pretty good stuff. I already gave some to friends and they had the same result.

This CATACLEAN must work on certain cars but not for my Camry. Poured half or 20 ounces to 1/3 tank, Drove all the way down to “Empty “ lights on. Then poured 20 ounces to 1/4 tank, drove to “empty “ lights on. Changes both upstream and downstream oxygen sensors (brand new). Reset the check engine. Drove for 5 miles, the check engine turns on again. Better to change the Catalytic converters.

This will not fix a Toyota Tundra problem easily. I have a 2005 Tundra with 134,000 miles. I have changed the o2 sensors already with no result. I have run Cataclean before with no result. I thought a heavy dose would do it. Still the P0430 code. I suspect my CATs are simply worn out. Don't use this product unless you are sure the CATs are simply, mildly clogged. My code has been on for 50,000 miles and even though I clear it, it's still there. I did run the truck over 65 mph for an extended 140 miles with Cataclean in two tanks. 3L total

Engine (2006 Honda 2.4L) was/is running in top shape and no OBD codes but with 240,000 and every indication that the CAT is original I figured, what could it hurt? Recorded inlet and outlet temps at the CAT "BEFORE" and "AFTER" Cataclean treatment. Two very interesting points arose. 1) After the treatment/cleaning, both inlet and outlet temps ran 16.2% cooler on average. 2) The average "DEGREE DIFFERENCE" between the inlet and outlet is greater in the AFTER @ 90.5° than the BEFORE @ 72° which is an average increased temperature difference of 25.7%. My Conclusions: Cataclean did it's job cleaning the cat as evidenced by: 1) The 16.2% overall cooler temperature indicates the CAT is less plugged as the exhaust flow has increased 2) The average "DIFFERENCE" in temps between the inlet and outlet has increased by 25.7% indicating the cat is burning hotter, thus more efficiently. Just because your engine light pops on and you get a P0420 code doesn't necessarily mean your CAT is plugged. Several issues can generate a P0420 code. If you don't regularly maintain the vehicle, e.g., spotless air filter, mass flow air sensor, etc. or your rings are passing more oil than the Valdez or Deepwater Horizon, don't say Catclean doesn't work because you still see the engine light and P0430 code. Yes, I would recommend Cataclean and yes, the quality is outstanding but the "Good value" review of 85% isn't even close to being accurate. In fact, it is grossly inaccurate. The cost on this item, #284239553470 is $91.94. I bought this exact same product from WalMart's website for $34.95 and I had it in four days. Read full review

To clear error code you need to blast Cataclean through catalytic converter. Just before starting this procedure clear the error code with OBD2 scanner or disconnecting/reconnecting battery. Gas tank should be filled to NO MORE than what is needed to drive on an open road or highway CONSISTENTLY at a speed of least 50mph or more (faster is better) for at least 30 minutes (longer the better) at consistent speed. Pour in entire 3L bottle of Cataclean at start of run. Upon completion take vehicle directly to inspection station for inspection . DO NOT TURN OFF ENGINE!!!!! Hopefully catalytic converter and sensors will be cleared. If cat/sensors are bad - sometimes requires (2) 3Lbottles/runs to clear

After using 1.5l cataclean, in half a tank of gasoline , my engine light went out. I am very pleased with this product.

I used as directed and got no results. In fact, I think it hurt my car. My cat converter is even more clogged up now and my fuel gauge is stuck on full. I don’t know if that’s related, but that’s what happened.
