    Excellent J. J. Cale Collection

    You can't go wrong with ANY collection of J. J. Cale songs! Obviously, some great songs had to be left out to fit these selections on one CD. But still a wonderful recording. Would also be a good introduction to J. J. for anyone who is not familiar with his work.

    Excellent Tunes By A Prolific Songwriter

    Done by a great songwriter, who sadly, passed away recently. Eric Clapton and Lynryd Skynyrd are two legendary artists who've covered his songs. Cale's own versions of "after midnight," "cocaine" and "call me the breeze" are included. Probably one of the better songs he recorded on his own was from 1973 "lies." This CD is more than just something to remember the artist by. It serves to remind us why he was such a terrific songsmith.
