I bought this amp as a lighter option to take to smaller gigs. I have an original 67 Super that I don’t like to lug around. My super was easily the best sounding amp I’ve ever heard…. I wanted something that had 6L6’s in a small combo and 50 watts. I was willing to sacrifice some low end and overall tone. This amp is totally bad ass. Sounds more like a fender than any fender. Sounds better than the combo amps of two rock, Fuchs and yes, every dumble. I had a Mesa lone star for a few months and didn’t jive with it. It was nice but I felt like I really had to work hard to dial in the sound I was looking for. I didn’t have to tweak this amp much, the sound was just there. The second channel is great! I use channel 1 as my clean and run channel two as a slightly overdriven option with a mid boost to cut the mix. Drive channel Sounds as good as any premium overdrive pedals. You can leave your OD’s at home and get everything you need from this amp. This amp is a superb pedal platform!! Way better than the Super! I’ve never been happier with an amp! Highly recommend!!!
