I'm new to paddleboarding, so I can't say I have any basis for comparison, but this board should work for anyone from beginners to advanced boarders, and I'm finding it easy to maneuver. It even has a seat so it can be used like a kayak, with the paddle converting to a 2 sided one. The whole thing, when deflated, fits in the back of my car. Highly recommend.
