    So glad I found this!

    I love having my own copy of one of my favorite movies. After all these years, I didn't realize there might still be a perfect copy available. All the characters were so well done, and Robert Duval's character has always been unforgettable for his tough shell but soft interior. And the Foreign Legion flashbacks were so exciting. Just a good movie from start to finish, and totally believable.

    Bought this DVD for the Senior Center mo...

    Bought this DVD for the Senior Center movie of the month. DVD kept freezing or skipping had to cancel showing and disappointed all. I should have tried it prior to the showing. Side note- our dvd player works fine it was the disc.

    The Best Family Movie of Our Time!

    This is a great movie, set in the early sixties, that explores childhood neglect, trauma, healing and love in ways most never could imagine. It is funny, engaging, full of suspense, and provides closure at the end. The language is very clean for our times and I buy copies routinely to give as gifts to friends, family, and anybody who is in need of a laugh, a cry, and a smile looking for a clean, wholesome movie.

    A Good Laugh

    We enjoyed the movie, the moral behind it is great, and the actors fit the part very well. To me, if you like comedy, this fits nicely, and it gives you an idea of what your family thinks of you if they think you have money. The things they think of are, all in all, very amusing, and it's a good family movie.
