    If you looking for a new NY0040-09W at a decent price, considering they are only made in small batches now, here it is. The watch I received had days of the week in both English and Italian. Came in a plain Citizen box, not a scuba tank case. Dial has movement listed as 8203 on it, but this is incorrect. The watch I received has the newer hacking movement 8204, which is laser etched onto the case back. I've had zero issues with this watch so far and am happy with it.

    Fantastic watch, beginner or otherwise

    I have several Seiko and Seiko-esque dive watches, but yet to own a Citizen before now. Wears smaller than a comparable SKX, and with only 20mm lugs. Having said that, it's a very unique dial, so I couldn't pass it up. I like the black day/date entry. The lume doesn't last as long as you might think, given it's appearance, but most watches have the same problem. Not a deal breaker for me. But a great watch at a great price and welcome in my humble collection.

    The NY0040 has become legendary amongst a few, especially Citizen watch aficionados. I am not a Citizen-phile but I am into watches and was looking for a gift for a friend. This checked all the boxes. Only thing lacking at this pricepoint is a metal bracelet to go with the rubber strap. Would have been a nice touch and would hsve brought extra satisfaction. I actually do like how light the watch is. Very nice overall. Has wrist presence but not too much to a point where it looks gaudy. Price point is good. Good purchase overall.

    In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night...

    I bought this watch after hunting for a good price for weeks. Since going out of production, it seems like nobody is selling them in good shape. After buying mine, I know why that is. Wow! This watch is beautiful. The full lume dial is incredible, the applied hour markers are beautiful and look premium, the bezel feel is great with excellent grip and absolutely zero play, and the crown screws down tight. It's been keeping excellent time (+2s/day), and feels better built than its main competitor, the Seiko SKX. The dial compares favorably to the SKX as well, given the Seiko's painted markers. They look cheap; this watch does not in any way. I also love the hands on this watch. They look fabulous and are very clear to tell time with. I 100% recommend this watch, especially on a shark mesh ...

    I HATE AUTOMATICS. MUST WEAR EVERY DAY. THATS WHY, I SOLD MY ROLEX

    cant tell time because dials are same color of face. not bright at nite, you must put under a light to shine. but i love all my six other citizen watches. all eco drive. all work like a swiss watch.
