The OCZ Agility 3 SSD has no spinning parts and runs quietly. It also runs cool and with efficiency. One of the major advantages of an SSD like the Agility 3 is its fast speed. This OCZ 120GB SSD uses a SATA 3 interface and hits read speeds as high as 525 MB/s and write speeds up to 500 MBps. With a form factor of 2.5 inches, the storage drive can fit into any laptop with a SATA II or SATA 3 interface. The shock-resistant SSD only consumes 2.7 watts at peak performance and has a long lifespan of 2 million hours.Those low-power consumption figures mean this SSD will allow your battery to stay charged longer. If you've been considering a dual-boot installation, then this OCZ SSD volume is an excellent choice. Even if you partitioned it in half, then you'd still have nearly 60GB for each OS you've installed. You can confidently install a beefy OS like Windows 7 on one of the partitions. This is a great way to split up your gaming software from the computer programs you use for work.Should you need an even bigger disk, you could buy several of Agility 3 flash volumes. Two OCZ SSD volumes would add up to 240GB. Add two more to that for a whopping 480GB of storage. You'll have ample flash memory with that kind of Agility III installation. Trion volumes support everything Windows has to offer, which includes file system encryption and compression. Excellent support for the NVMe MLC standard means the internal microchips will hold up under heavy use.If you want to install your new NAND HDD in Toshiba or Samsung equipment, then all you have to do is check the controller and see if it can recognize it. Toshiba manuals provide some information on the largest drives they can accept. The same goes for any game system or even Apple machines. It doesn't even matter if it's powered by Toshiba, Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA technology. As long as your machine can accept an internal OCZ SSD of this size, it should recognize it. It should give you full 6 Gbps performance on any type of device. Continue to look at those IOPS numbers as you use your new drive. They should be remarkably high. Dell and ASUS series firmware are more than likely covered as well.Engineers from OCZ Technology have tested every Vertex volume to make sure they outperform existing PCIE and Sandforce mount-points. Each OCZ Trion device is backward compatible, so it should also work with the older standards. If you have a Gen 2.0-capable CPU, then it should recognize an OCZ solid-state Vertex Agility device as well. Just make sure the bay matches the 6.35-centimeter form factor. Install a new Trion Vertex RD400 volume when you update your machine and experience a huge boost in speed no matter what you're working with.
