I tried it on an antique cooking range and it wasn't a 'silver bullet'. To be fair, instructions online do advise all metal surfaces do need to be fully cleaned etc before use. I was hoping a quick wire wool down and I'd be ready to go with the stove restorer, but not so. Any slight surface rust bleeds/penetrates back through the restorer, possibly due to it being a water based product. It's an easy product to use but has limits

The whole fire looks so much better. It wass well packed and the cream will go a long way as it spreads very easily, so the price is well worth the item. Very impressed
