    DW... Enough said

    DW never fails to deliver a high quality drum with tremendous value ( what you get for what you pay ). This drum delivers great tone all over the tuning range, and it has exceptional warmth for a metal drum. The 8" depth is also nice in this case, because it helps get a great depth to the sound, even at extreme tension. If you crank the reso head, you can get an awesome resonance and slight ring that you would expect from a brass drum. If you crank the batter head tighter than the reso head though, you cut out all over tones completely, and the result is ear-splitting attack. This is a great drum, but I expect no less from DW!

    Beautifully made drum that sounds amazing

    Deep and metallic but not harsh. The mag lock and adjustable snare butt are really cool innovations. This thing is big and loud but definitely controllable.
