About this product

Product Information

Developer Oxygen Games fancies King of Clubs: Mini-Golf as something of a puzzle game disguised as 96 holes of miniature golf. Set in a dilapidated theme park in the deserts of Southern Nevada, players must putt their way through five courses filled with such obstacles as gates, bumpers, trapdoors, water hazards, pools of lava, and boiling oil. Each themed world features a quirky boss who must be defeated in order to move on to the next set of holes, eventually culminating with a match against Big Bubba King, an Elvis-impersonating truck driver who owns and operates the local truck stop. Gamers can also earn extra money by hitting their ball through the bags of cash strewn about each course, and those bonus funds can be used to purchase specialized balls and clubs. Though the plural title "ing of Clubs" may seem like a misnomer in a putter-heavy miniature golf game, it rings true when players can eventually unlock special wedges to help avoid previously impassable obstructions. The light-hearted multiplayer mode lets gamers use gag balls, gag clubs, and audio distractions while their opponents are putting.

  • chalenging putt putt

as somebody who has only played the wii sports included with the console I found this putt putt a little hard to learn. The power curve you have to use for each swing is a pain when all they had to do was the same thing in the regular golf game which would make the game more enjoyable for everybody. If you have small kids..get something else as the grandkids with me lose interest pretty quick if they have a hard time learning the power swing. You are limted to how many characters you can create and holes you can play. Maybe they should change the name to king of difficult putt putt.

  • Not a bad game...but not great either

Well, to begin with, it took us (myself and my 5 and 6 year old daughters) a little while to get into the swing of things. The control of the putter was a little difficult at times (sometimes it would swing on it;s own, sometimes there was no line to help you line up your shots) The graphics were okay, they weren't as animated as I thought they should be. But overall the eventually had fun with it and that's all that matters. Oh, and one more thing...the setup for the game...very awkward and sometimes hard to follow. I'm still trying to figure out how to save all three of us so we don't have to take 15 minutes to get into the game.

  • Tricky @ 1st, but fun to play/

I decided to buy this because we were looking to buy a golf game to play other than Wii Sports. Found thus one at a good deal & have seen some positive reviews for it. It's kinda tricky playing it at first, but give it a little time & you'll get the hang of it. I like playing solo or with/vs my friends. I don't like the tourney vs computer... it's already an expert.

    Great game!

  • Not too great

This game is not very good. It has really cheap/bad graphics, and isn't really very fun. It might be okay for a little family/friendly competition, but probably after playing it a few times you will put it away and never play it again.
