    Great Retrospective

Watching someone coming form confusion and a feeling of loss into a mindset of empowerment and openness, is encouraging. Sometimes our journey isn't a quick trip but a process without which we cannot learn, grow of be fulfilled. A great movie I will watch again, right after I finish reading the book!

  • Eat Pray Love

Elizabeth Gilbert had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having - a husband, a house, a successful career - yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.

  • Do you take what you've worked to attain, or risk it all for better?

Bought it because I saw the first part, but not the ending and enjoyed it too much not to know! It is a keeper as you do pick up more things each time you watch it. Lotsa laughs between the serious contemplation that is introduced as this woman faces what is really significant in her life, whether to settle for what has seemed valid or search for the illusive quality that we hear about but run the risk of not finding and losing what was at hand. Maintains a pretty good rhythm. I enjoyed it all the way through and picked up some great lines to try to remember to use!!

  • Good Lay-Back Movie

The movie moved slowly, but was paced well for its content. I was happy with her choice at the end.

  • fun, thoughtful and insightful

I read the book, I have seen the movies many times. I love Julia and I love the story. I teach yoga, am Italian and my dream is the South Seas so it is right up my alley. I would say it was a great movie for gals to gather, watch and enjoy and maybe come away with some thoughts as to the how and why of things. IE - Let's experience our food, let's learn to love ourselves and maybe another.
