Notes
Born in Tokyo, Japan, pianist Tomoko Hagiwara completed her undergraduate and graduate studies from the prestigious music department at the University of Tokyo. An invitation to expand her career in the United States lead her to further studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Under the tutelage of Adolph Baller and Lilli Kraus, she was noted to move audiences with her soulful interpretation and remarkably delicate tone quality. As the winner of the San Francisco Symphony Competition, Hagiwara made her United States debut performing with the San Francisco Symphony under Maestro Josef Krips. She received further acclaim at the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition in Paris and the Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competition in Brussels.?? Hagiwara has been a long-time faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and continues to perform and record numerous solo and chamber music works. Following the successes of her first two releases, a compilation album and one of works solely by Mozart, Hagiwara eagerly returned to the recording studio to complete six more albums which include works of Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann as well as two Chopin albums and one Liszt album.

Great transaction again with this seller! The records are always packed extremely well and arrive in good shape. The shipping charges are very reasonable considering the packing done - records packed in boxes within a larger box, bubble wrap, etc., all new material. Condition of records described very accurately. Thank You!!!
