    Good value but some issues

    Excellent model of MBP, fast and rugged. The dead pixels were not an issue. Can't even notice them. The 5400 rpm drive was showing its age as was the RAM. Mine had an intermittent charging issue which I solved by replacing the battery and charger. I upgraded the RAM and the Hard drive, swapping in a Samsung EVO SSD and 16GB of OWC RAM. I do have an issue with my track pad "click" function, however I have found a work around and have been using a mouse when doing any real work with it. Over all pretty happy though.

    Six good weeks, and then...

    For six weeks the 13" MacBook Pro purchased from tekdeals was really good, but starting today video problems started appearing. There was no shock to the system. No banging, No drop. I just turned it on and a horizontal line a little more than halfway down the screen appeared. Also some light distortions in both of the upper corners are creeping in, though you can't really see that in these photos. The Apple diagnostic didn't find any problems with the logic board, and the problems don't show up when attaching an external display. In fact, the computer seems fine with an external display, but that sort of defeats the purpose of a laptop. At this point I would not recommend purchasing one of these unless you plan on keeping it attached to a seperate display or get the Square Trade ...

    Great!

    My Grandson wanted a specific type of computer for videos music etc. So I researched what type would work the best and decided on Apple. While looking I ran across this one. It had what I needed then to top it off with programs he will use. I am very happy with all the programs that were included I wasn’t finding that with others I was looking at. He’s only had it a few days but loves it. Such items I normally like to purchase new but with his age & the cost I’m giving this a chance. I will update this review if any major changes happen. As of now I’m very happy with this purchase and love that it came with the cover. It makes it look new and with all the software & upgrades it is perfect for what I was looking for!

    Still a solid computer!

    I had been looking to get a new mid-range Windows PC. For work, I was told to get a Macbook Pro. I'm glad I did! This refurbished laptop is from early 2011, but it's comparable to the new PC I was looking at, both in price and in features. I'm hoping it will hold up for a while. My one gripe is the non-retina screen. Having a Samsung tablet with very crisp resolution, I can tell the difference. Other than that, this computer is really good for my needs. And I really like that it can be upgraded with more RAM and space.

    Works great, scuffed on the outside

    i just received my computer today and so far setting it up has been a pretty easy process. the charger works, it booted up right away. the outside is far more scuffed up than i thought it would be but i can always get a case to cover that up. overall the computer works just fine for right now! runs like new. the inside looks brand new, no marks on the screen or anything, all the buttons work, the camera works, the speakers work. when i restarted it it booted right back up. i need to update to the new software, but everything so far has been easy peasy! thank you so much!!
