This mount was used on a Walther UIT BV. The rear dovetail section is virtually flat. As for the mount, it was a little wide and just to do an initial squeeze, I decided to put anti-seize on the threads and under the heads. The screws were screaming at me and refused to advance. Bear in mind, that wasn't even on the rifle yet!! But after the anti-seize, things went really well. The mount is designed to be widened if you over compress it. Use the spare screws to spread the sides apart.

I have always been dissatisfied with most such mounts for various reasons, and this one addresses all those issues such as length, strength, etc. This one is the best available.

Always Read instruction through detail. Otherwise this kind of dovetail would disappoint you. This dovetail doesn’t go further more than 11mm in width , I try mine to attach my cz527, and I broked it, and You can’t get replacement for that. Most of the modern gun rails are Are 11-20mm. So you have to be aware. I’m sorry I threw away the dovetail before I was thinking of writing this review.Always Read instruction through detail. Otherwise this kind of dovetail would disappoint you. This dovetail doesn’t go further more than 11mm in width , I try mine to attach my cz527, and I broked it, and You can’t get replacement for that. Most of the modern gun rails are Are 11-20mm. So you have to be aware. I’m sorry I threw away the dovetail before I was thinking of writing this review.

Double check the directions
Works good when used properly. Read the directions three times. The screw placement is critical. I was about to write a bad review when I read the other comments and then watched a video of it being installed. Works well on my Hatson 95.

Perfect fit
This rail fits great on my marlin .22 . I mounted a 4x nightvision scope on it for coons ,possums etc. and it's strong enough to take the weight of the NV scope and the riggors of night hunting. I would highly recommend this and have to my friends !

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
Great quality, and very smart design for attachment, but don't do what I did and stretch the adapter, then realize it was stretched too far, then try to bend the thing back in a vice therefor cracking the aluminum because I didn't realize the you had to switch around the long screws that would have clamped the thing on anyway.
