    A great lens for the price.

    I like the versatility of a zoom lens, with a number of focal lengths within one unit. The housing, although plastic, seems very solid. It's compact and easy to store in the camera bag.

    Great walk-around lens if you can only carry one.

    This is a great 'everyday carry' lens. Wide enough on a cropped sensor for up-close shots and long enough to get that landscape in a tight small package that you can hike around with. If I am only carrying one lens on a vacation.... this is the choice.
