Effective and reliable to pass smog
I was able to pass smog with real clean numbers on my 1992 Acura Integra. The aftermarket CAT is 5 years old and I wondered if I would pass smog. I did use Cataclean, but also tuned it up, changed oil, and made sure the tire pressure was proper. This is the second time for this car with comparable "pass" results. This stuff works if you make sure the car is running smoothly having done the work described above. This process has worked for my other cars also. Tried it, did not work.
Waste of money, did not work. I did exactly as the directions said to do, drove and drove the car for over 100 miles and Cat monitor never completed. I have had this problem with my car for months now, changed oxygen sensors, etc... even tried lacquer thinner method, nothing works. I can't afford to change the converters, they cost more than the car.

Cleaned my O2 sensors
I had some O2 sensors, and they were relatively new. Was getting O2 codes. So I ran this stuff, and it cleaned the O2's and didn't have a problem with them again. Most people need to make sure to correctly diagnose the issue before leaving reviews of the product. A O2 sensor that is no longer functioning or a bad fuse, or something as a broken wire could be culprit to the problem. Cata Clean won't fix that... nor common sense when using it.I had some O2 sensors, and they were relatively new. Was getting O2 codes. IT WORKS IMMEDIATELY!
Works as claimed. Immediately turned off my check-engine light. However, multiple uses may be required over time. Still a lot cheaper than a new cat converter. I figure I can go through almost a hundred bottles and still come out ahead!

This worked for me, 2 bottles anmd a couple other additives.
I kept throwing a CAT converter code. Looking for a way to pass emissions on the cheap, not a new $1500+ converter. Used my OBDII code reader to turn off check engine light. Then added 1 bottle of this CATACLEAN, a bottle of STP concentrated fuel system cleaner, and a bottle of STP octane booster. CEL had by now come back on. Drove until full gas tank was perhaps 1/8th full. Turned CEL back off. Then added a 2nd bottle of CATACLEAN, another octane booster, filled up tank with premium gasoline and drove it around. Used my code reader, all status lights were green. Went had emissions test done, passed. Its been about 3 weeks and over 500 miles and the CEL has not come back on. 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 flex fuelI kept throwing a CAT converter code.
